Because of supporters like you, Roots Community Health made major strides in 2025 — from breaking ground on our Young People’s Wellness Center, a space dedicated to free medical and behavioral health care for youth, to delivering life‑changing services that meet people where they are. Your generosity helped fuel programs that combine safe housing, workforce support, and wraparound health care through our Workforce Emergency Housing Initiative, which saw rising housing stability and employment outcomes, and expanded training and job readiness opportunities through initiatives like Clean360’s employment pathway and our empowerment programs that help community members gain sustainable employment and economic independence.
About our mission
Founded in Oakland, California, the mission of Roots Community Health is to uplift those impacted by systemic inequities and poverty. We accomplish this through medical and behavioral health care, health navigation, workforce enterprises, housing, outreach, and advocacy.
